<div style="width: 400px;text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: center;">SNOW WAY TO SPEND THE HOLIDAYS.</div>
It's a classically terrible weather disaster, and London is snowed in! It turns out everyone was highly unprepared for this weather, so despite a few months of poor weather, the snow has come as something of a surprise and not everyone is ready for it - including most characters, unfortunately! Most public transport is delayed, a few workplaces have closed, and schools are definitely shut, so nearly everyone has chosen to stay indoors, where it's warm and cosy and there's no chance of frostbite. <p>
But for those who don't mind cold fingers at the end of the day, it turns out that there's been some magical shenanigan at play because this snow isn't ordinary. It appears to be charmed snow, but no one is claiming that they did this - super weird! Anyway, it turns out that if you play out in the snow too long or start building anything, the snow contains some fun illusions and the possibilities are endless. The snow builds postcard (or snowglobe!) scenes: a warm log cabin in the middle of nowhere, perched at the side of a mountain, surrounded by snow on a village green, or maybe you'll be in a snowy forest somewhere. Really, the possibilities are endless, but they definitely want you to wrap up warm! <p>
The illusions will last as long as you stay engaged with them - they'll disappear when you want to leave. <p>
In all, there's a chance for some fun magic or a chance to just spend some time with loved ones withut any outside distractions. Even English weather can be fun sometimes!

Feel free to use this topic to show off your outfits or do some plotting!

[dohtml]<center><div style="text-align: center; font-family: oswald; font-size: 25px;">february announcements.</div>
<div style="height: 20px;"></div>

<div style="width: 400px;text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: center;">FULL MOON.</div>
There will be no full moon in February.<p>
<div style="width: 400px;text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: center;">RATIOS.</div>
Two months since I've done these but honestly no drastic changes! Whilst we had a rise in every member group apart from ghosts, and our boy - girl ratio has closed a touch, we've not had much difference in terms of affiliations! The East Coven could use some love if you're planning a vampire in the near future, or if you want something a bit tamer don't forget the South Coven has opened its doors to less traditional members #spon. Daniel's Pack is also behind if you're feeling particularly terrible! Otherwise I'd like to take this time to encourage a few more ghosts join the spectre squad, and remind you that vampires and hunters as a whole are significantly lower than werewolves, witches and civilians, if you're looking for a member group to join!
<div style="width: 400px;text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: center;">SITE RATINGS CHANGE.</div>
There has been some mild discussion on this, but as it stands, Hannah and I feel it'll be best to change the rating of the site from 15+ to 18+. This is largely because the member base is a little older, we're all adults here, and we don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable because they're threading with a teenager (and equally, don't want teenagers to feel awkward hanging out with us! Some of us still only believe in 151 Pokemon). This will be changed in the rules topic. <p>
Please note that although the rating is 18+, this doesn't change the Jcink terms of service (we're not a premium board!). You can check out the TOS +here for a refresher, but as a rule, Jcink expects fade to black on sex scenes, no heavy mention of drugs/alcohol, and very little graphic violence - in other words, this stuff happens, you can say it happened, but no explicit description. Swearing is fine provided you don't go overboard. As said, this is a Jcink thing, not an admin thing, and there's nothing we can really do to change that - but we just wanted to make sure no one was spontaneously threading mentions of these things with someone potentially underage.
<div style="width: 400px;text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: center;">SITE EVENT</div>
English weather is notoriously terrible and if you thought things brightened up for February, you would be... tragically wrong. The rain is terrible, the winds are terrible, the snow is magical -- wait, what? February's site event is a classic: everyone is snowed in! There are weather warnings everywhere, reminders that the train service may be delayed (when is it not?), and it's a great time to complain about who you're cooped up with over the weekend of the 17th and 18th. Or, well, you can make the most of your time together, we're not judging.<p>
If you do feel like braving the heavy snows, be prepared for the fact that this isn't ordinary snow. It seems a magic spell has gone wrong somewhere, but for some reason, if you start building anything out of the snow, weird and wonderful illusions happen! Keep building those snowmen, igloos, Olafs, snowcars, etc, because you might find yourself wrapped up in a log cabin, or enjoying the view from the top of a mountain, or happily playing in a village green that you've never seen before. Whether you're indoors or out, there's sure to be an adventure! <p>
Snowed in or adventuring outdoors, the site event will go up on the 9th! Threads from the previous site event will go to the past events forum for you to keep threading.

[dohtml]<center><div style="text-align: center; font-family: oswald; font-size: 25px;">spotlight awards!</div>
<div style="height: 20px;"></div>
<div style="width: 400px;text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: center;">TOP EARNERS.</div>
This month's awards for best valentine's themed baked goods: Trent Lindsey (5 points), Virginia Evans (4 points), Dean Kennedy (3 points), and Jasper Martin (3 points). You guys win a cute star in your mini-profile and your faces gloriously pasted in the header.<p>

This month's total amount of points earned was a hoppin' 149, which is also the amount of times someone's told me that this year's flu vaccine is particularly weak this year (gross).
<div style="width: 400px;text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: center;">STAFF PICK.</div>
This month after lots of ignoring new years resolutions, we finally managed to make a decision! This month's staff pick is Bree Daniels! <p>

So Bree is shamelessly one of my favourite characters of Vicki's to read! I love that she's so determined and has so much back story to her that motivates her and gives her a lot of drama! I also love that she's a lost boy, and has this hunter background that she cultivated herself! I also really like reading her plot and current threads, they're always funny and interesting and definitely have a lot of colour to them, and I really like seeing how she's developing within her plot! She's obviously a character Vicki really loves and cares about, and loves to write, and so we love to read her!

Bree gets an award in her mini profile, her face in the header, and a lifetime supply of get out of jail free cards! Feel free to congratulate the winners in this topic!

[dohtml]<center><div style="text-align: center; font-family: oswald; font-size: 25px;">january announcements.</div>
<div style="height: 20px;"></div>

<div style="width: 400px;text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: center;">FULL MOON.</div>
There will be two full moons this month: the first is from the 1st of January to the 3rd of January; the second will be from the 30th of January to the 1st of February. Johnny and Daniel's packs will be spending their nights at the Larkhill army base, whereas Gerard's pack will be at the Tidworth army base. Soldiers will be stationed around the area to ensure that no rogue wolves attempt to escape during the night. <p>
Knox Garages and Howl, understandably, will be closed during this time. <p>
<div style="width: 400px;text-align: justify;"><div style="text-align: center;">NEW YEAR, NEW CK.</div>
I'm kidding, there's no new CK. But it is a new year, and that means that CK gets the dubious of celebrating three years of activity this year (alarming) - it's a little strange to think that we were all so much younger, so much more innocent in 2015. We'll be working on some things behind the scenes to mess around with CK's status quo a little more because it's not a party unless something goes awry. Does anyone else hear wedding bells, or is that just me?<p>
We're always excited for another year of shenanigans, romancing, potential children, more shenanigans, weird gifs, spotlights, tragic threads, sad oneshots, heartbreaking moments, upsetting memes, etc. Naturally, this doesn't happen without an equally insane member base, so thank you for sticking around for as long as you have (I assume it's for the memes)!
